Good Afternoon, I am a bit late on posting today. I think its due to the fact that I am dragging, I feel like I have gotten no sleep. At least not a lot of good sleep! Anyways since I have been dragging this afternoon I have seriously been neglecting my emails. So after my workout I decided I would go through and delete all the pointless ones!
Lets just say that about 98% of them were pointless, I mean emails that you can read the title and you have no interest in reading. Basically I am talking junk mail! And in this 98% of junk that comes to my email inbox each day a good portion of those are health related, fitness related and diet related. I mean I get so many emails on diets, the latest food fads, and what to eat and not eat that my head literally spins checking my email.
So how are we supposed to know what to eat, and what is the best healthy options. Here is my advice, this is what I strive to do in my daily life. I focus my meals around fresh produce. Usually half of my plate consists of fruits and veggies, and then the other half is made up of lean protein and whole grains. I try to balance my meals out, and notice I feel the best when I eat healthy and fresh foods.
Clearly way more veggies on my plate then anything!
Now I am not saying that I do not indulge in sweets, because believe me I do.
Remember these?
I simply strive for a balance in my life, and eat the things I know make my body feel the best. I encourage you to step away from the diet fads and experiment with foods. Figure out what foods make you feel the best inside and out. Eating right to me makes a world of a difference!
